I believe the possibility is yes, the problem we mostly think of when it comes to this is; our galaxy our solar system. That's like looking at a road map of Wisconsin and saying... THIS IS IT...we are the planet of Wisconsin! We just need to realize that if human nature's innate goal is evolution (and Human in the sense of an animal, not as a intellectual), then we can't deny that we share this common goal with all things. So is i possible another planet somewhere in the eternal mapping of the universe has sentient beings such as us? The ability is there...we just havnt found it...so socially it cant exist.
